On September 8,1994.，Shijiazhuang Diamond Tools Co. Ltd., the predecessor of Bosun Tools Co. Ltd., was founded. In the same year, Bosun manufactured its first diamond saw blade.

In Dec. 1996，Bosun began to prepare for its new plant at No. 10, Haihe Road, Hi-tech Development Zone, Shijiazhuang.

On Dec. 14, 1998,，Shijiazhuang Bosun Tools Co. Ltd. was founded in Shijiazhuang Hi-tech Development Zone.

In the year of 2000，Bosun imported CNC automatic laser welding machine and corollary equipments. Bosun’s equipments gradually achieved international advanced level. In the same year, Bosun’s first core drill machine was successfully developed.

In 2001，Bosun began to develop brake pad for high-speed rail trains which was listed as the National Key Emerging Project, the National Torch Program Item and the National S&T Development Plan.

In April 2001， Bosun obtained the import and export qualification, and its export business quickly expanded all over the world.

In the year of 2002，Bosun firstly imported the ORACLE ERP management system and awarded ISO9001 Quality Management System certification in the diamond tools industry. Its management model gradually links up with the global system

In March 2003，the brake pad for 270 km/h passed the 1:1 bench test at the Locomotive and Rolling Stock Inspection Station of the Product Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of the Ministry of Railways.

On Sep. 29, 2003，Shijiazhuang Bosun Tools Group Co. Ltd. was founded and then became the biggest diamond tools manufacture in China. In the same year, alloyed tools was developed and launched into the market.

In the year of 2004， Bosun began to build the second new plant located in Changjiang Avenue. In the same year, an overseas subsidiary was established in the United States, and the expansion of the North American market entered a new stage

In 2005， Bosun started the R&D of brake pads for 300-350 km/h EMU.

In December 2005， the brand of “Bosun” was recognized as “Chinese Famous Brand”.

In February 2007，hand-held engineering drilling rigs for power tools obtained the ROHS conformity certification, laying a foundation for further export to the EU market.

On June 28, 2007，Bosun Tools Group Co., Ltd. was formally renamed as Bosun Tools Co., Ltd., which means Bosun was reformed as a joint-stock company.

In July, 2007，Bosun cooperated with “Beijing General Research Institute of Nonferrous Metals” and established “Bosun-Nonferrous Metals Joint Laboratory”.

From the year of 2008 to now,，Bosun participated in constituting three national standards, one local standard and one industry standard.
Bosun’s R&D centre is a Provincial Technique Centre and Bosun is the High-tech enterprise of Hebei Province. Bosun's research and development strength has gradually reached the national leading level.

On August 21, 2009，Bosun Tools Co., Ltd. was listed in the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (stock code 002282) as the first private listed company in Shijiazhuang City.

In May 2010 and May 2012，Bosun invested twice to acquire the entire equity of the German company -“Priwe (Shanghai) Machine Tool Manufacturing Co., Ltd.”, and entered the field of professional diamond tools for wood flooring and wood processing.

In October 2010，Bosun acquired all the shares of Cyclone Diamond Products Ltd., an internationally renowned high-end professional diamond tools manufacturer in Canada.

In December 2010，Bosun was selected as one of the first batch of Key High-Tech Enterprises in the National Torch Program.

In June 2011，Bosun Tools (Thailand) Co., Ltd. was established, and it was officially put into operation on August 9, 2012.

In November 2012 and November 2013，Bosun invested in “Bosun invested in the upstream raw material company Youyan Powder New Materials (Beijing) Co., Ltd.”

In February 2012，Pioneer Tools Inc. was established in the United States.

In March 2012，Bosun introduced uniform manufacturing technology which led the revolution of diamond tools manufacturing. In June 2021, Bosun developed high-efficiency energy storage welding technology which applied to diamond grinding tools and replaced the traditional high-frequency welding process.

In March 2013，Bosun was identified as the first batch of Demonstration Enterprises of the Chief Quality Officer System in Shijiazhuang.

On Oct. 16, 2015，Bosun’s headquarter was relocated to No. 289 Changjiang Avenue from No.10 Haihe Road.

In July 2015，Bosun Rail Transit Equipment Division was established. Bosun entered the field of rail transit equipment.

On January 8, 2016，CRH380B/BL/CL series of brake pads for EMUs of 300-350 km/h and above obtained the "Railway Product Trial Certificate" issued by CRCC.

In June 2016，Bosun obtained the International Railway Industry Standard certificate (IRIS) and ISO 9001:2008 certificate.

In January 2017， the invention patent "A laser-welded diamond circular saw blade and its preparation method" (Patent No.: ZL200910073628.3) won the 18th China Patent Excellence Award.

In April 2017， Bosun obtained the maintenance qualification of Changchun Railway Vehicle Co., Ltd., and was issued the "Procurement Supplier Qualification Certificate".

In July 2017， Bosun started the construction project of Bosun Rail Transit Equipment Industrialization and Engineering Laboratory. In December 2017, CRH380B/BL/CL series brake pad for EMUs obtained the "Railway Product Certification Certificate" issued by CRCC.

In November 2017， Bosun completed the acquisition with Changzhou Kingcattle Abrasives Co., Ltd. and entered the coated abrasives business field.

In May 2018，the brake pads of 200-250km/h for EMUs began to carry out special emergency braking test and the evaluation of loading operation at the Shijiazhuang EMU Application Station of China Railway Beijing Bureau Group Co., Ltd.

In June 2018，Bosun acquired part of the equity of Wenshang Haiwei Locomotive Parts Co., Ltd.

In July 2018，the Company introduced the world's advanced 1:1 brake power test bench from Germany. The maximum test speed of the test bench is 520km/h.

In January 2019，the brake pad for CRH3C was added into the CRCC Railway Product Certification Certificate" for EMUs of 300-350km/h and above, which expanded the scope of applicable models of this product. In the same year, a full intelligent production line for high-speed rail powder metallurgy brake pads was built, with an annual production capacity of 80,000 powder metallurgy brake pads.

In May 2019，Bosun Tools Co., Ltd. was renamed "Bosun Co., Ltd.".

In May 2020，a new type of dry granulation technology was developed to replace the traditional chemical granulation process, which was responding to the sustainable production concept of green environmental protection, low energy consumption and energy saving.

In August 2020， the brake pads for RH380A (s)/AL (s)/AM/AN/AJ, CRH2C-2 for EMUs, CR400AF, CR400BF, CR300AF and CR300BF for standard EMUs also passed the CRCC certification and obtained the "Railway Product Trial Certificate". In the same year, the brake pads for the CRH380B/BL/CL series of EMUs obtained inspection and repair qualifications and market access qualifications.

In August 2020，Bosun wholly acquired Wenshang Haiwei Locomotive Parts Co., Ltd.

In December 2020，the Hebei Province Rail Transit Vehicle Friction Braking Key Laboratory contracted by the Company passed the acceptance check. In the same year, the laboratory obtained the CNAS qualification.

In March 2021，Bosun Priwe (Shanghai) Tools Co., Ltd. established a branch in Malaysia to build a high-standard service center for the Southeast Asian market.

In March 2021，Bosun realized the development and application of warm pressing technology, and completed the industrialization upgrade of related products.

In 2022，Railway Investment (Jinan) Equity Investment Fund Partnership Enterprise (Limited Partnership) became the controlling shareholder of the Company, and Shandong Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission became the actual controller of the Company.
